1. About WaterTrack
WaterTrack helps users maintain water-meter and customer records, scan readings, calculate usage and bills, track payment status, share bill information, and optionally back up local records to Google Drive.
2. Information you enter
You may enter meter identifiers, house or shop names, contact-person details, telephone numbers, email addresses, addresses, notes, tariff rates, meter readings and payment status. These records are stored locally in the application's database on your device.
When you deliberately use the sharing feature, the bill text and selected contact number are passed to the sharing application you choose, such as WhatsApp. That service handles the information under its own privacy policy.
3. Google Sign-In and authentication
Google Sign-In is optional. If you sign in, WaterTrack and Firebase Authentication process information returned by Google, which may include your name, email address, Google account identifier, authentication tokens, IP address and technical information required to authenticate and protect the service.
WaterTrack does not use Firestore or Firebase Realtime Database to synchronize your meter records.
4. Google Drive backup and restore
Backup and restore occur only when you request them. WaterTrack asks for permission to create and access the WaterTrack backup file in your Google Drive. The backup can contain your locally stored meters, readings and settings. It is stored in your own Google Drive account and is governed by Google's privacy policy and your Google account settings.
5. Camera and meter scanning
WaterTrack requests camera access only when you choose to scan a meter. The captured image is processed on your device using Google ML Kit text recognition to suggest a reading for your confirmation. WaterTrack does not upload meter photographs to its own servers.
6. Advertising and automatically processed information
WaterTrack uses Google AdMob to display advertising. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or share IP address information, app interactions such as launches and taps, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers. This information may be used for advertising, analytics, personalization, security and fraud prevention. Google handles this information under its own terms and privacy policies.
7. Storage, security and retention
Local records remain on your device until you delete them, clear the application's data or uninstall WaterTrack. Google Drive backups remain in your Drive until you replace or delete them. Firebase Authentication information is retained while your WaterTrack account remains active or as required for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations.
Network connections to Google services use encryption in transit. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should protect access to your device and Google account.
8. Your choices

9. Children's privacy
